EZ-Roll Gravel Pavers by NDS
Overview
EZ Roll Gravel Pavers reduce erosion and help maintain the look and functionality of a gravel road. Made with 100% recycled materials, the pavers also minimize surface water runoff and present an attractive and sustainable alternative to traditional concrete or asphalt. A continuous piece of geotextile fabric provides the strength to hold the gravel fill in place yet is porous to allow for the filtration of storm water runoff and reduces demands put on the landscape drainage system.
The NDS Gravel Pavers are available in tan, black, brick red, and gray to provide design flexibility when choosing gravel color and application. There are a variety of recommended applications: Golf cart paths, service roads, jogging tracks, bike paths, truck & cart wash-down areas, RV & boat access and parking, residential driveways, parking lots, overflow parking lots, roadways shoulders, fire lanes, emergency vehicle access roads, truck maintenance and equipment yards, and construction entrance soil stabilization. In addition to these load applications, they are also an effective solution for erosion control on slopes and in swales. NDS EZ Roll Gravel Pavers are less expensive to maintain over time than traditional hardscaping and more aesthetically pleasing.

NDS Gravel Paver: An Overview
NDS EZ Roll Gravel Pavers stabilize aggregate so driveways, fire lanes, cart paths, and overflow parking look like gravel yet perform like pavement. The roll-out cellular grid spreads wheel loads, controls rutting, and supports permeable site design.
Technical overview: A flexible, interlocking cellular grid is rolled over a compacted, free-draining base and filled with clean, angular gravel. Plain English: you keep the natural look of stone—with the strength and stability needed for vehicles and the drainage needed for stormwater.

Why Choose NDS Gravel Pavers
- Permeable by design — promotes infiltration and helps manage peak flows.
- Load distribution — cellular structure spreads wheel loads to reduce rutting.
- Fast coverage — roll format + interlocks keep rows straight and installs efficient.
- Low visual impact — preserves the natural look of aggregate surfaces.
- Versatile — driveways, fire/EMS access, utility lanes, overflow parking, cart paths.
Design & Selection (Quick Spec Checklist)
- Subbase: free-draining aggregate; thickness per load/soil
- Bedding: leveling layer to seat the grid
- Infill: clean, angular gravel (proper gradation)
- Traffic: occasional cars → service/emergency
- Edges: curbs/borders to lock edges and contain stone
- Maintenance: top-off gravel as needed; sweep/rake seasonally
For tighter turning radii or frequent service traffic, increase base thickness, select well-graded angular stone, and consider edge restraints along wheel paths.

Specifications at a Glance
System: Permeable gravel-stabilization grid
Format: Flexible roll with interlocking edges
Material: Durable, UV-stable polymer
Infill: Clean, angular gravel (no fines)
Edges: Stakes/curbs/borders recommended
Uses: Driveways, fire lanes, parking, trails, shoulders
Final capacity depends on base design, soil conditions, compaction, and maintenance. Always follow manufacturer guidelines and local codes.
Installation Highlights (Pro Tips)
1) Base Prep
Excavate unsuitable soils; install a free-draining aggregate base. Compact in lifts to specified density.
2) Roll & Connect
Roll out the grid, interlock seams, and stake as needed. Use edge restraints to contain gravel and resist creep.
3) Fill & Finish
Fill cells with clean, angular aggregate; screed level. Top off after initial traffic as the stone seats.
Case Study: Gravel Driveway Upgrade
A private drive with chronic rutting was upgraded using EZ Roll Gravel Pavers over a thicker free-draining base. Results: no more washboard after storms, reduced grading visits, and a cleaner look with gravel staying in place.
